Tutors are matched to the personality and learning style of students to further enhance the learning experience and a Program Advisor monitors student progress and provides feedback to parents throughout the program.
In almost 20 years of serving the test preparation needs of college-bound students, we've learned that one-on-one, in-home tutoring is the most effective way to prepare for any standardized college admissions test. It's also the most efficient use of students' limited time. Ivy West offers this method — one-on-one, in-home tutoring — both in person (face-to-face), and, for SAT preparation, online. Our online option essentially brings your tutor into your home through your computer, a headset and a writing tablet. The online option can be a more economical way to obtain the benefits of one-on-one, in-home tutoring.
From the very start, Ivy West has approached the test prep process as a partnership. Because each student is an individual, this partnership begins by learning the student's and family's scheduling and learning needs. Whether you seek improvement in all sections of a test or in just one or two sections, Ivy West can design a program to fit your needs. A knowledgeable Program Advisor consults with parents over the course of the program to assess students' needs, and also serves as a dedicated point of contact for any questions or concerns about your program, which additional test dates you should prep for, your tutor, etc.
